After the initial problem with our coach company going bust we got away to Arras, thanks to Skinner's coaches who organised a last minute rescue. Everyone had a great time in a very interesting city. The tunnels and caves under the city, the memorials and the history of the soldiers in the two World Wars were fascinating.

The club barbecue was held in the car park on the 20th august. Despite the heavy rain initially we had a great turn out. The sun came out mid afternoon and the children enjoyed the bouncy house while the grown ups played skittles. All food sold out and a good time was had by all. Sadly it was goodbye to Kevin who had deferred his flight to Canada and Billie to help with this event. Thank you from all of us Kevin.

48 of us went on this year's overseas weekend to the beautiful city of Ghent. Lots to see and do, great beer and food, the weather was hot and sunny apart from an early morning shower. a super time was had by all. The Novotel was excellent in all respects, the only downside for 2 of our intrepid travellers was that the swimming pool was outside and not heated. Seems they had been looking forward to their early morning swim!
