On the 17th July Davina and Paul married and held their wedding reception at the club. Billie and Davina did the decorations and Billie did the wedding cake, plus a three course sit down meal for 60 guests and evening buffet for 100.

This was a very popular venue, weather was good to us and some excellent golf was played. Winner of the Coalman's Cup, presented by Terry 'the coal' Johnson, was Adrian Meredith with 42 points. Handicap cut here! 2nd was Leon Mullet,39 points, 3rd Keith Penfold, 36 points. Guest prize went to Richard Crocker.

We had a very pleasant day at Hoebridge, good weather and the course played very well.
Winner was Bob Philcox who took home the Spring Cup and a bottle of wine for nearest the pin.
First guest was Ian Ridley off 16 with a great score of 41 points. Handicap cut to 14. Well done all.

The Brook Hall was booked for the children's party this year and we had an entertainer instead of the usual pantomime. Fred in the Shed was excellent and gave the children plenty of fun and magic.
Father Christmas paid his usual seasonal visit with presents for all the children.

95 of us went to Bruges and had a great time. Weather was kind, the hotel was right in the centre of the town and there were lots of great restaurants nearby, not to mention the brewery museum!

Two coaches took the 60 UP club on a trip to Portsmouth for a day out, stopping at the Manor Hotel for a full english breakfast. A good time had by all.

92 of the club members attended the Annual Dinner Dance held at the British airways Concorde Club in Heston. Food was excellent, band had everyone up dancing all evening. A good time was had by all.
